In this event Sergei and Vadim Revzin, Co-Founders at School16 will tell their story of how they started off as finance degree graduates, and without any technology experience started their own software businesses and used that experience to become professors at NYU by 30 years old, Venture Capital investors managing millions of dollars in funding, and founders of their own Education Technology company that has attracted teachers from some of the best companies in the world, including Google, Facebook and more. School16 presents a live seminar with Akaash Shanker, Senior Merchant at GameStop, with a discussion on how he was able to develop a career in retail tech, starting as a Merchandising Intern at Macy's. Akaash will discuss how he learned merchandising, buying, planning, and inventory management to eventually land a role at Amazon to help roll out their Amazon Fresh Stores project. Attendees will learn how to leverage consumer retail experience to land an opportunity in tech, and how to understand the retail tech interview process if you're transitioning careers.
