The evolution of a leader from field sales to president at a public company

February 21, 2020

The best way to safeguard your career is to learn the skills necessary to be able to rapidly adapt when circumstances change beyond your control. One such skill that can be learned by anyone (yes anyone) is sales.

"We are all sales people. Everyone. Sales is just the ability to articulate a passion about something in a way that you can drive value for someone else."

We interviewed Becky Frankiewicz, President of ManpowerGroup North America, who started as a sales professional at Procter & Gamble, then made a major career transition while starting a family, eventually running massive business units at companies like PepsiCo.

Becky recognized the value of sales skills very early on in her career, which accelerated her path to become an exceptional leader at places like P&G, PepsiCo and eventually ManpowerGroup where she is now President.
